Hiked a little saddle called Mamean. Crazy windy. We were grateful for the little stone shelter at the top.
On the way down had Jeff snap this (for you, Heather N.!).
"Sheep worrying" refers to dogs that herd sheep for fun, rendering the sheep panicky and exhausted. Which pretty much describes me on most days.
Then we drove to Roundstone, where the kids sampled the playground and the beach.
("Up where they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun...")
While in Roundstone we did visit the music shop of Malachy Kearns, which we have enjoyed in the past. Mr. Kearns has become a cranky sourpuss. He scolded us for letting Charlie touch a "very expensive" tin whistle. That Charlie picked up from a basket displayed invitingly on a shelf two feet off the floor. Which is where everyone knows you're supposed to put things that you don't want preschoolers to touch.
Finally we drove to the tippy tip of nowhere. I mean, Bunowen. A gorgeous day.

Has to be my favorite vacation funny sign photo ever! While very sorry for the sheep of course, I am oddly glad that another species feels our pain.

1. LOVE IT
2. Poor Malachy
3. I like how Summer's pants are rolled up. Does that ever work for you? My kids just go in deeper until they are soaked.

Malachy deserves no pity.
I think those are just capri jeans. My kids go in until they are soaked also.
