Let me just start this post off by saying that I never watch television. I literally never, ever, watch television. A few years ago I used to watch a show called Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. It's not on anymore.
The reason I don't want television has nothing to do taste or standards and everything to do with what a total failure I am at putting children to bed *plus* lack of DVR.
Last night, however, somehow, I ended up watching Dancing with the Stars, the first night of a two-night season finale. Loved it. Loved Donny Osmond. Loved Kelly Osbourne. Did not love Mya, but only because she was too good. Lovely girl; she just seemed like a ringer.
The children were still awake at 9:30 p.m. The next show came on: Find My Family. It was about a couple's search for the daughter they gave up for adoption when they were teenagers. And I sobbed. SOBBED. From the opening credits until 10:00 p.m. Sobbed. Charlie put his arms around me and patted my head. Sob, sob, sob. Then Jeff came home, walked in, saw me sobbing, and said,
"Did Donny Osmond lose?"
Well. Tonight on part two, Donny Osmond won. And I have to say, as much as I love all things Osmond, Mya really should have won. She was the best dancer. But Kelly Osbourne--you are really a fantastic young woman. Keep it up, you're doing great.
Jeff and I were wracking our brains trying to remember the name of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" the other night. (It's some thing like 30 Rock...Sunset Boulevard...) Quite pathetic. But eventually we came up with it!

"Did Donny Osmond lose." Great quote, kudos to Jeff #2.
Waiting for the reunion post...
