Epiphany: what if I just used Q-Tips to periodically clean out Charlie's extra ear canal? Then there wouldn't be any gunk clogging it, so if it got infected it wouldn't bulge up on the outside of his ear but simply drain out the teeny extra ear canal hole? Could we avoid surgery completely with a simple inexpensive cotton swab? I await word from Dr. Kenna on my theory.
