The ear bulge is back.
As is the pink eye.
Today being Sunday, I could not call Charlie's ear doctor, so I called our secret weapon, Kenny. Kenny and I discussed the ear bulge and he advised me to go with antibiotics again. We talked about how there is no real surgical option for Charlie since his ear is basically one of a kind. It's not like there's a procedure for going in and obliterating extra ear canals, particularly ones where the facial nerve is all pretzeled around the ear parts. Kenny is hoping that the bulge is kind of like regular ear infections that some kids get over and over and then outgrow.
So I'm calling Dr. Kenna tomorrow first thing, and in the meanwhile, I'm Clorox wiping, Lysol spraying, hand washing, paper toweling, and PRAYING TO GOD to make the pink eye go away.
What? Oh, a list. Right. Hm.
A list of things we learned about at the Science Discovery Museum today:
harmonograms
pendulums
polarized light
fabric, glue, and scissors
wood, saws, and nails
magnets
Also, we have already collected more sap in a week than we did in the whole season last year. Awesome year for maple sugaring!
oh shite. i hope i dont get teh pinkeye right now. i dunno if they'd let me on a plane with it! plus i'd have to wear my glasses! eeeewwwwwwwww. *is scared*

Ugh - so sorry about the bulge and pinkeye. I hope you beat them fast!
You guys maple sugar? We used to as kids; some of my fondest childhood memories are with my dad & sisters collecting our boiling down sap. So nice.
And your own laying hens to boot? you guys are the coolest people around.

Yes! You guys are very cool! Sorry about the ear bulge; Andre was one of those kids who got infections all the time as a tot and he never does now. (They said it was an "anatomical" issue which he grew out of.)

What is it, farmer chic? We did not mean to be cool. We're just trying to have fun until the kids turn 11 and decide they hate us.
